Dog Warden and Control Services.

At Pest Express we are committed to the promotion of responsible pet ownership, providing a very high quality dog control service.

Our experienced dog wardens are fully trained in animal handling and law enforcement, and they are headed by our senior dog warden Rachel Thompson, who holds national diplomas in animal care and legislation.

We provide a high quality service to local authorities across the region, and our company is a member of The National Dog Warden Association.

Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Act 2005

As confirmed by Defra, the commencement of section 68 of the Clean Neighbourhood and Environment Act 2005 will commence on 6 April 2008 and will remove from the police responsibility for stray dogs, except dangerous dogs, so that local authorities will have sole responsibility for stray dogs.

Outside office hours local authorities will be expected, where practicable to provide a place to which a stray dog can be taken and accepted into local authority care.

Our senior dog warden, Rachel, confirms that she now has the technicians and procedures in place to provide an "out of hours" service to all the local authorities within our region. Rachel says "we are happy to provide the dog collection service, and transport to the authorities appointed kennels.

We would be pleased to discuss with any authority their individual requirements to ensure adequate and responsible cover.
