By law, food that is sold must be wholesome and free from contamination and you are required to demonstrate 'due diligence' that you have taken every precaution against contamination from flying insect pests. With no electric killing grid, they are silent, discreet and hygenic and will catch all sizes of insects including smaller species e.g. fruit flies.

Chameleon units are slim, easy on the eye, easy to maintain and only require a change of sticky boards once every two months under normal conditions. With a sticky tape, insects are held fast. This means there is no danger of insects being ejected or blown out of the unit, allowing Chameleon units to be placed closer to sensitive areas.

Used sticky boards, if dated and protected in clingfilm, give a ready-made catch analysis and a record of 'due diligence'. You also have a means of easy identification of the insects controlled.

Cluster Fly Unit

During the cluster fly season you will get many complaints from householders who have flies in their loft / roof spaces. These flies should ideally be controlled with a ULV space spray treatment, but are effectively controlled by the Titan 30 EFK with an ammended 'cluster fly tray'.

The problem with most electronic fly killers is that due to safety issues they are unable to work without a catch tray fixed underneath the unit. The l;arge numbers of cluster flies being killed by and EFK will create a build up of bodies, which may cause a fire hazard, if the dead insects touch the killing grid. An EFK fitted with a tray allowing the dead insects to fall safely through into a collection container is ideal, making this an effective way to control these pest flies.

The titan 30 EFK unit cna be puchased with an alternative 'cluster fly' tray (as illustrated) which will allow the electrocuted insects to drop safely through the bottom.

Flyscreen Technology

The Food Safety (Food Hygiene) General Regualtions 1995, states:

"... windows which are opened to the outside environment must where necessary be fitted with insect proof screens ..."
